This is an audition technique class with specific redirect and adjustments as they relate to the audition process in a real casting office.
The class also will include a seminar on how to best get acting work in the entertainment business; followed by a brief lecture and Q&A from Billy based on his upcoming book An Actor Grovels: Exposing the Casting Director Payola Scheme in Hollywood.

About Billy DaMota, CSA
Billy DaMota has cast hundreds of films, TV shows, commercials, plays and music videos throughout his almost 30 year career. He has cast such noted actors as Marcia Cross, James Franco, Cameron Diaz, Brad Pitt and Sean Young as well as Hollywood legends Faye Dunaway, Mickey Rooney and Tony Curtis.
He began his career as a casting assistant on such films as Predator, The Running Man, The Three Amigos and Project X. In 1988 he transitioned to casting associate on the critically acclaimed feature film, Colors, directed by Dennis Hopper and starring Sean Penn, Don Cheadle and Robert Duvall.
Billy became an independent casting director with Steven Seagal's first film, Above the Law, directed by Andrew Davis. He went on to cast Miracle Mile, starring Anthony Edwards and Mare Winningham and the legendary cult classic Chopper Chicks in Zombie Town in which he cast a then unknown Billy Bob Thornton in his first co-starring role.
A member of Casting Society of America (CSA) since 1988, Billy is thrice nominated for the “Best Casting for Independent Film” award.
His book, An Actor Grovels will soon be released in bookstores and eBooks everywhere.
