Dear SAG-AFTRA Nevada Local Members:
As you may know, our local newsletter is published multiple times a year. The next issue will be in October. This newsletter is produced by our Nevada members for our Nevada members and I encourage all of you to participate by submitting original articles, updates and photographs.
Article submissions should be related to our union, the industry, acting, broadcasting, etc. The ideal length is between 250 – 500 words. You must be a SAG-AFTRA Nevada Local member in good standing to contribute. To give you an idea of what kinds of articles are desired, you can review examples of previous newsletters at http://www.sagaftra.org/locals/nevada/newsletter-archive or go to SAGAFTRA.org and click on “Locals,” then “Nevada,” then “Newsletter Archives,” where you will find a list of newsletters going back several years.
As the new editor of the newsletter and the local’s communications chair, I am making some changes to the format, which I look forward to implementing.
Please send your drafts to Nevada@sagaftra.org. The deadline is Oct. 4, 2013.
All submissions will be reviewed by the editorial team who reserve the right to edit the piece if necessary. Members whose stories are accepted also may be asked to sign additional documents granting SAG-AFTRA the right to publish their story or photos in the newsletter.
