AFTRA Foundation

The AFTRA Foundation is building for the future of performers, broadcasters, and recording artists.Founded by the AFTRA National Board of Directors in 1997 as a separate legal entity from the union, the AFTRA Foundation is a charitable and educational organization funded through tax-deductible voluntary contributions, grants, and bequests—not SAG-AFTRA member dues—to support projects outside the scope of normal activities of SAG-AFTRA, including charitable endeavors, AFTRAFoundation@sagaftra.org or 212-863-4315.

Nashville Local Performer Emergency Relief Fund: This Fund was established to assist members of the Nashville Local and works in conjunction with qualified assistance from other relief funds. None of the money in this Fund is from any member’s dues. Nashville Relief Fund monies are raised through fund raising activities of the Local and donations from members. Although our funds are limited, we have been able to help many members in need. For additional information or to receive an application, please contact the Nashville Local Office at 615-327-2944.

The SAG Foundation

The SAG Foundation enhances the lives of members by investing in programs that help them in their professional endeavors. Their financial assistance, catastrophic health, educational and literacy programs reflect the concerns and interests of SAG-AFTRA members as well as their desire to "give back" to their communities. Motion Picture Players Welfare Fund (MPPWF)

The Motion Picture Players Welfare Fund (MPPWF) s an emergency financial assistance fund of the SAG-AFTRA and serves members in the New York region and all Branches East of Omaha, Nebraska which includes: Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Florida which includes members in Louisiana, North Carolina and Puerto Rico, Georgia, Nashville, Philadelphia and Washington-Baltimore. This program is administered through the Actors Fund of America, (212) 221-7300, Ext. 119.

 The MPPWF is designed to assist eligible members who are struggling with a financial, personal or medical crisis. Financial assistance is available for rent, utilities, mental health and medical care as well as other basic living expenses.

Did you know Tennessee Repertory Theatre offers discounts to SAG-AFTRA members? It's true! They have special AEA rates for Actors’ Equity and SAG-AFTRA members in good standing. AEA reserved tickets (purchased in advance of the show) are $21.50. AEA rush tickets available 90 minutes prior to curtain (at the downtown box office only) are $11.50 (based on availability at the time of purchase). Just present your membership card at time of purchase for this special pricing.
