"We take care of our own" - that is the foundation of this team. Nancy Daly created the team Actors Unite to End Alzheimer's - SAG-AFTRA/AEA in 2011 in honor of her mom who was diagnosed in 2009 and her dad who was her primary caregiver. Actors Unite was endorsed with a unanimous vote by the then SAG National Board and at the AFTRA National Convention in July, 2011. It received overwhelming support by the staff and National Council of Actors' Equity Association. One hundred actors, friends and family walked in Los Angeles, New York City, Miami and Washington DC, raising over $23,000. President Obama applauded Nancy Daly’s team and their dedication with a personal letter. He congratulated them for building a community of actors to raise awareness, education and support of Alzheimer’s.

PARKING: Parking options available for all walk participants. The large main lot is located where the event is staged at North Hollywood Beach Park and is complimentary prior to 8 a.m. Try to get there before eight! After 8 a.m. the cost for parking will be $8 per car for the day.
