One Santa Fe will offer 88 brand new studios and one-and-two bedroom apartments that will rent for approximately half the current market rate for households that qualify. There is a government regulated selection process based on income and other criteria. Applications and eligibility criteria will be available spring/summer 2014.

Please note that the e-blast that went out previously about affordable housing mistakenly referred to the NoHo Arts District. One Santa Fe, which will offer 88 affordable units, is in the Arts District near downtown LA.
For those of you who cannot make it, the info session presentation will be posted on www.AffordableArtistHousing.org. This website will go live on March 24. All eligibility and application information for One Santa Fe will also be posted there as soon as it becomes available. The schedule of future info sessions will also be posted on the website.
Important Note on Income Eligibility for this Housing:
Many people have had questions about income eligibility. The official eligibility guidelines for One Santa Fe have not yet been released. However, we do have some information we can share. In order to be eligible, household income must not exceed 45% or 50% of the Area Median Income for Los Angeles County (adjusted for household size). In 2014, 45% of the Area Median Income for a household of one is $25,695 and 50% of the Area Median Income is $28,550. Again, these are not the official eligibility criteria for One Santa Fe, but the maximum incomes will surely be in this range. The way income is calculated is a bit complicated – it will be covered at the info session – but it encompasses net income from self-employment and the operation of a small business, plus gross income from all other sources. One Santa Fe will set a minimum income as well. There will also be other eligibility criteria regarding credit, rental history, etc.
