SAG-AFTRA’s MOVE Committee and Military Personnel & Families Support Task Force are proud to support HomeWalk, the United Way of Greater Los Angeles’ annual 5K Run/Walk to End Homelessness on Saturday, Nov. 17.
Please Join SAG-AFTRA Team Captains Ellen Crawford, Jon Huertas, Mark Valley and JR Martinez and walk with The Los Angeles County Federation of Labor’s “Team Homeless Heroes” supporting those who have served our country and who are now facing homelessness. In Los Angeles County alone, more than 51,000 people are homeless and 9000 of them are veterans.
Each year thousands join together to do their part by fundraising and spreading the word that homelessness is a solvable problem. All money raised through HomeWalk is distributed back into the community to help quickly re-house homeless families and provide permanent supportive housing to our most vulnerable, chronically homeless individuals and veterans.
Your participation is the only donation required. Union members, veterans and their family and friends may register at: www.laborcommunityservicesla.org.
If you would like to represent SAG-AFTRA in HomeWalk and would like to wear a SAG-AFTRA t-shirt, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve one. All t-shirts will be distributed at the SAG-AFTRA offices on Friday, Nov. 16, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. on the 7th Floor to those who RSVP for the HomeWalk.
