The SAG-AFTRA Hawaii Local mourns the passing of Glenn Cannon on Saturday, April 20, 2013. Cannon, who, for more than 20 years, served as president and board member of the former Screen Actors Guild Hawaii Branch and as current co-president of the SAG-AFTRA Hawaii Local. Born in Philadelphia, Cannon joined the union in the 1950s when he began his career in New York, acting in A Moon for the Misbegotten and The Good Woman of Setzuan on Broadway, as well as numerous off-Broadway and touring productions, including The Threepenny Opera and West Side Story.

The member elected as Council Member at Large was also elected as Alternate National Director who may be called upon to serve at National Board Meetings when the National Board member from Hawaii Branch is unavailable to attend.
Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists are pleased to announce the beginning of the Joint Wages & Working Conditions (W&W) process in preparation for negotiation of the SAG TV/Theatrical and AFTRA Exhibit A Contract. This contract will expire on June 30, 2011, and early negotiations are scheduled to commence in September or October 2010.
It has come to our attention that members (performers) are not providing the acceptable I-9 documents required for employment. These documents are mandatory prior to employment.
