Basics and Beyond – The Craft of Acting Workshop
The workshop will focus on the tools an actor needs to strengthen a performance on set and give them the edge in an audition.
· The specific benefits and value of warm up and preparation
· How to make choices that make your performance memorable
· Imagination work: How to believe in the imaginary circumstances
· Improvisation: The advantage of “going with” and how to be in the moment
The workshop will consist of a lecture, Q&A and physical and improvisational acting exercises/games. Please dress in comfortable clothes that are “easy to move around in.”
When: 2:30 -5:30 p.m., Sunday Jan. 12, 2014

About Theo Coumbis
Theo Coumbis has worked in film, television and theatre as a professional actor for over 25 years and has guest starred in television shows such as Lost, Hawaii Five-O, Off the Map, Baywatch, North Shore, Fantasy Island and many others. He was also featured in movies such as Into the Blue 2, You May Not Kiss the Bride, Testaments and The Untitled Cameron Crowe Project.
Theo has also worked on independent movie productions as an acting coach, casting director, co-producer, writer and director. He currently teaches acting classes at the Scott Rogers Studios.
