Louisiana Guild Members: Important Information Regarding Tax Incentives in Louisiana
Start: 06/18/2009 - 4:00pm
End: 06/19/2009 - 12:00am

As you may know, the film industry in Louisiana is undeniably tied to the tax incentives offered to productions by the state. As other states have witnessed Louisiana’s success in attracting film production, they have put forth their own tax incentives which are in some cases a higher percentage than what Louisiana currently offers. There is currently a push to raise the current tax incentive offered to productions from its current level of 25% to a higher and more competitive 30%. This small increase would go a long way toward keeping and improving the robust film industry that we have all benefited from for the past seven years.

If ever there was a time to show your support for the Louisiana Film industry, the time is now. A high attendance will go a long way in demonstrating how important this is to SAG members and the film community at large. Your support can be shown simply by filling out a card with your name, signature and home address and turning it in at the Capitol.

What: Come show your support for SB 245 and an amended HB 898.

When:
Thursday, June 18, 2009 – all day – come when you are available starting at 9 a.m. for the duration of the day’s session.

Where:
