San Francisco-Northern California Local Conservatory Presents The Meisner Technique with Rachael Adler
Start: 01/28/2017 - 2:30pm
End: 01/28/2017 - 4:30pm

This workshop serves as ongoing practice or, if necessary, an introduction to the Meisner Technique of Acting. Seasoned actors will be provided tools that, when implemented, will deepen the moment-to-moment “truthfulness” in performance, create deep emotional connection to challenging text and bring powerful improvisational skills to text work. This workshop utilizes exercises Meisner developed to free the actor to “live truthfully under imaginary circumstances.” This work deeply cultivates and develops the actors’ instincts, concentration and imagination.
