When requesting that actors “go on tape”, agents and casting directors routinely share their unique expectations for lighting, sound, make-up, hair, movement, wardrobe, and more.

  • So what are casting directors asking for and how can we actors deliver quality video auditions?
  • What are the factors that contribute to success in this new frontier?
  • And . . . Why the heck are CDs and agents so picky about what we send them?

Competition for jobs is fierce. Submissions must somehow stand out from the hundreds of videos submitted for each and every role. To help actors face this challenge, ProACT is offering this informational seminar led by industry experts, including Sharon Garrison (actor/producer/videographer), Mary Jo Mazur (videographer), Wendy Pennington (actor/videographer/demo reel editor), and Deanna Rozenblum (makeup/hair specialist.)  Photographer and filmmaker, Steve Riley will also be there to answer questions about cameras, lighting, file sizes and any other technical questions - plus hints on setting up your own taping facility.
Bring your questions as well as your personal experiences to our panel, as we cover the nuts and bolts of successful video auditions, beginning with the basic tools of taping . . . through preparation . . . and finally submission via the Internet!  Join us as we embark on this new and exciting casting frontier!
