Dear Dallas/Ft. Worth Branch Members,

There is no doubt many of your neighbors and friends are hurting in these troubled economic times. The issues seem insurmountable, yet there’s a simple action you can take to help America turn the tide; support the Employee Free Choice Act. Passage of this Act will put more money in the pockets of everyday workers and make it easier for people to join labor unions. Whether it’s on a film set, at a construction site, or on an assembly line, workers who are protected by a union-negotiated collective bargaining agreement earn more money and have more protections in the workplace. The Employee Free Choice Act eliminates the present system of union organizing which puts thousands of Americans each year at risk of intimidation, threats, and even job loss for their efforts to form a union.

Take a stand and show solidarity with the labor community in Dallas. Join Jobs with Justice for an informational picket Friday, May 29 in South Dallas.

•        Jobs with Justice Informational Picket
•        4-6 P.M. Friday, May 29
•        Bank of America Building (housing Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce)
•        Corner Zang & 12th (400 Zang) in Dallas

The picket is set for rain or shine. There is a lot of free parking in the area, and 25 cents will buy an hour on a nearby parking meter. This will be a legal and peaceful action to bring awareness to the resolve of working families who desire the benefits of a union. If you  email me at and let me know you plan to attend, I will bring SAG caps for all.

In unity,

Linda Dowell
Regional Branch Executive Director
