The Houston-Austin Local presents its first panel dedicated to young performers: Career Basics for the Young Performer. This panel will cover what to look for in acting classes, commercial work, contracts, getting started, networking and promotional materials. Learn the basics and ask the professionals. Discover strategies to protect young actors and plan for the future.

Panelists include:

Trish Avery – SAG-AFTRA Dallas-Fort Worth Local Executive Director (via Skype)
Ray Bengston – Eyekool Photography owner, actor and director
Barbara Divisek – Producer, casting director, former talent agent and manager
Terry Kiser — Founder of Actors Arena, veteran actor
Audrey Scott – Houston-Austin Young Performers Committee Ambassador, actor
Pamela Weaver – Houston-Austin Local President and National Board Member, Moderator

Young performers over the age of seven and their parent or guardian are welcome to attend. Limit 2 children per adult.
