Announcing the 14th Annual Lend Me an Ear 14: Stage and Screen on Radio

Summer is over so it’s time for the Atlanta Union Radio Players to proudly announce their annual Lend Me an Ear fall lineup! It’s another fun night of Old Time Radio show recreations with some of Atlanta’s best SAG-AFTRA and Equity talent benefiting the Atlanta Community Food Bank. This year, our 14th, the theme is “Stage and Screen on Radio” and we’re highlighting two of radio’s greatest comediennes.

  • First, there’s The Joan Davis Show. (Joan Davis is best remembered for TV’s I Married Joan and was a main staple in vaudeville, film and TV.)
  • Next up: I Love Lucy, the only existing radio version, with funny lady Lucille Ball and husband Desi Arnaz.
  • Also on the bill is a movie trailer for Clare Boothe Luce’s famous play The Women.
  • We’ll end the evening with the humorous Columbia Workshop tale My Client Curley about two boys, an agent and a dancing caterpillar.

When: 7:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 23
(Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Authentic English fare and drinks will be available.)

Where: Shakespeare Tavern Playhouse
499 Peachtree Street NE
Atlanta, GA 30308
(Discounted paid parking is across the street at the Emory Midtown Hospital.)
