SAG-AFTRA Stunt Coordinators are the industry professionals that exemplify the highest standards in safety and practicing of the stunt coordinating craft. SAG-AFTRA Stunt Coordinators are the frontline in promoting adherence to the stunt and safety-related terms and conditions contained in any SAG-AFTRA agreement. Therefore, the National Board adopts the following stunt coordinator standards and practices to which all stunt coordinators should adhere:

The SAG-AFTRA Stunt & Safety Department and SAG-AFTRA National Stunt Committee have become aware of inferior ‘knock off’ stunt/flying harnesses infiltrating the stunt performing community here and abroad. One harness failure incident has already been reported. Thankfully, no one was hurt.

This SAG-AFTRA Safety Bulletin is an urgent advisory to alert you to these dangers and to remind everyone to be very diligent about the harnesses and other safety equipment used in the performance of stunts.

Combating discrimination and harassment is at the core of what our union stands for. That’s why we were so disappointed by the recent court ruling invalidating California’s AB 1687, which gave individuals the right to opt-out of having their age information published online without their consent.
