Guild Offers Expert Testimony at ‘Gosselin Law’ Hearing

Harrisburg, Pa. (September 24, 2010) – Screen Actors Guild provided expert testimony Thursday in regard to “Gosselin Law” child labor legislation being reviewed by the Pennsylvania House Labor Relations Committee.

H.B. 2515, sponsored by Rep. Thomas Murt, originated as a way to protect children working on set and is a reference to Kate Gosselin’s Kate Plus 8, which is shot in Pennsylvania.

Entertainment Industry Urges Supreme Court to Maintain First Amendment Protections

WASHINGTON (September 17, 2010) – A broad entertainment industry coalition today urged the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold a 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling that found unconstitutional the 2005 California law restricting the sale and rental to minors of computer and video games deemed to be overly violent.
