(July 27, 2010) — At a White House event celebrating the historic ADA 20th anniversary, President Obama announced an update to the “milestone in the journey to equality.” The president signed an executive order establishing the federal government as a “model employer” of people with disabilities.

SAG Celebrates 20th Anniversary of ADA at White House, LA City Hall Events

(July 26, 2010) — Screen Actors Guild today commemorates the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). President Obama will host an event marking the date on the South Lawn of the White House this afternoon with members of SAG in attendance as well as Adam Moore, SAG associate director of Affirmative Action & Diversity.
