Los Angeles (April 5, 2010) — If you are a member of the AFTRA-SAG Federal Credit Union you will be receiving in the mail a copy of their quarterly newsletter Cue Sheet.
This issue's ASFCU Member Spotlight is on SAG Secretary-Treasurer Amy Aquino, who has been a member of the Credit Union since 1996.
Dear AFTRA member:
If you’ve been keeping up with AFTRA online or reading AFTRA Magazine, you’ve read a lot about how fast, and perhaps fundamentally, the entertainment and news media industries are changing. As a working broadcast journalist who serves on the National Broadcast Steering Committee and the shop steward in the newsroom at WCAU-TV, NBC’s owned-and-operated station in Philadelphia, I can confirm that this change is real, and we broadcast journalists are on the front lines.
PHILADELPHIA CAP WORKSHOP
The SAG Foundation is planning to present a Casting Access Project (CAP) on-camera workshop with casting director Kim Moarefi in Philadelphia on the evening of Monday, April 19th. Seating is very limited so CAP-eligible Guild members in the Philadelphia/D.C. area who are interested in attending should send an email, including their name and SAG membership number to nycap@sagfoundation.org for more information.
NYCAP WORKSHOPS - April 6th, 7th, 8th
Hey, SAG performers! Are you represented by a terrific, franchised agent that you believe does not get the recognition that he or she deserves? Is your agent always there for you, guiding your career, advising you, watching your back, and generally being a mensch without much fanfare or praise? Well, now is your chance to change all of that!
(March 30, 2010)- Screen Actors Guild and Screen Actors Guild Foundation will present "An Evening with Television Casting Directors" live, online and free on Tuesday, March 30, 6-8 p.m. (PT).
This LifeRaft Live Stream event will feature a stellar panel of television casting directors who will share the inside track on what it takes to be effective in the audition room as well as your odds of getting the job, what it takes to earn a living in television, what bargaining power you or your agent have with a television contract, and more!
