The ending of institutional competition took a couple positive steps forward since I wrote last fall that I did not see any light at the end of the merger tunnel. The decision by both the SAG National Board and the AFTRA National Board to jointly bargain the TV/Theatrical/Exhibit A contracts under the aegis of the AFL-CIO brokered Non-Disparagement Agreement signals a further rapprochement and steadily improving relations between the two unions.
