On October 9, 2017, your SAG-AFTRA National Board unanimously approved a tentative agreement reached for a successor to the Interactive Media (Video Game) Agreement, ending a strike against 11 video game companies that began on October 21, 2016. Eligible SAG-AFTRA members will now vote on the proposed successor agreement covering Interactive Media.

The SAG-AFTRA National Board met Monday and Tuesday following the union’s four-day biennial convention in Los Angeles. SAG-AFTRA President Gabrielle Carteris opened the meeting by welcoming the union’s newly elected board members. Said Carteris, “I’m looking forward to working with each of you over the next two years on initiatives that will benefit members throughout the country, impact our organizing efforts and inspire the next generation of leaders within our organization.”

SAG-AFTRA today announces that Region 31 of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) in Los Angeles has officially issued a complaint against Spanish Broadcasting Systems (SBS) after finding merit to a myriad of egregious unfair labor practice charges filed by the Union against the media company.

The third SAG-AFTRA National Convention concluded Sunday with members voting on final resolutions and speeches from the union’s top officers, focusing on the convention’s theme: Our Union, Our Strength, Our Future. The day capped a three-day event that brought together member delegates from across the country to vote on resolutions that advance the union and its mission.
