The SAG-AFTRA National Board, meeting this weekend in Los Angeles at SAG-AFTRA Plaza, voted to set election and governance rules for the upcoming national convention. The board also established a negotiating committee for the upcoming contract talks with Telemundo and unanimously approved a successor agreement covering music video performers with the major record labels.

SAG-AFTRA today announced that it had reached a tentative agreement with the major record labels — Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group, and Disney Music Group— for a successor to their industry-wide contract covering dancers and other performers on music videos. The original agreement was approved in June 2012.

SAG-AFTRA has heard from several members who said recently they were approached by casting directors to do struck work for one of the 11 struck video game corporations. 

While SAG-AFTRA is investigating these incidents, the union urges members to be vigilant. Accepting struck work is a violation of Global Rule One. If you are approached to do struck work, please call the strike hotline at (323) 549-6815. Calls can be made anonymously. Members can also contact the union by email at: videogames@sagaftra.org.
