Board Approves First-Ever Industry-Wide Music Video Agreement and Sets Commercials W&W Schedule
Los Angeles and New York (July 21, 2012) – The National Board of Directors of SAG-AFTRA met today via videoconference in the first day of a regularly scheduled two-day plenary.
The premiere SAG-AFTRA magazine is now available to members online. The Summer 2012 digital issue includes bonus videos, zoom-to-read capabilities, active hyperlinks and special features.

Los Angeles (July 8, 2012) — SAG-AFTRA mourns the passing of actor Ernest Borgnine, who died today at the age of 95. Borgnine was honored with the 47th Annual Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award® in 2010 for career achievement and humanitarian accomplishment. Borgnine served on the Screen Actors Guild Board of Directors from April to November 1962 and again from November 1974 to November 1977.

Beijing (June 26, 2012) — SAG-AFTRA and its more than 160,000 members around the world applaud the adoption of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Beijing Treaty on Audiovisual Performances. This treaty will, at long last, extend important economic and moral rights to actors and other audiovisual performers.
An agreement has been reached with Cimarron Productions, Inc. also known as The Cimarron Group regarding the unpaid compensation due to performers and the SAG pension and health contributions or AFTRA Health and Retirement contributions as applicable.
SAG-AFTRA MEMBERS MAY NOW PROVIDE SERVICES TO THIS COMPANY – PRE-PAYMENT IS REQUIRED FOR ALL NEW WORK
Cimarron Productions, Inc. also known as The Cimarron Group is in default of its respective SAG and AFTRA Agreements for failure to make payments of compensation due to many performers as well as pension and health contributions due under the SAG Agreement and Health and Retirement contributions due under the AFTRA Agreement.
SAG-AFTRA MEMBERS MAY NOT PROVIDE SERVICES TO THIS COMPANY UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
