LOS ANGELES AND NEW YORK (July 20, 2010)— Screen Actors Guild, American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and Actors’ Equity Association today announced that the International Federation of Actors, also known as FIA (Fédération Internationale des Acteurs), has endorsed the  unions’ global I AM PWD campaign.

U.S. Secretary of Labor Solis Suggests Changes to Increase PWD Media Visibility

Solis addressed members of Screen Actors Guild, AFTRA, the Tri-Union I AM PWD campaign and other entertainment industry leaders in an effort to explore strategies for increasing employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

Coalition Seeks Broader Actor Protections Worldwide

July 15, 2010 – Screen Actors Guild joined other actor unions and entertainment industry advocates in their support of finalizing an international treaty on audiovisual performances, which would enhance actors’ rights and protections worldwide.
