LOS ANGELES (November 15, 2011) - Regina King, star of TNT’s critically acclaimed drama series “Southland,” will serve as social media ambassador for the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® airing live on TNT and TBS Sunday, Jan. 29. Through posts on Twitter and Facebook, King will serve as the online face for the awards, giving viewers unprecedented access to behind-the-scenes moments during the weeks building up to the show, as well as from the red carpet.
LOS ANGELES (October 17, 2011) – The Screen Actors Guild Awards® has been honored for the third consecutive year with the Environmental Media Association (EMA)’s Green Seal, recognizing a production’s outstanding efforts to implement sustainable initiatives and promote environmental awareness. The EMA Green Seal was presented for the green practices of the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® at the 21st Annual EMA Awards on Saturday, Oct. 15, at Warner Brothers Studios.

The 2011 Screen Actors Guild Awards® Nominating Committee will be randomly selected on April 1. In order to be eligible, your November 2010 dues must be paid by March 18, 2011.
Voting for the SAG Awards® is done in two stages. The first, nominations balloting, is voted on by two nominating committees. These nominating committees are selected at random by computer each year. The second stage of voting, the final balloting, begins after nominations are announced in December.
LOS ANGELES (February 1, 2011) -- More than 5 million viewers tuned in Sunday night as TNT and TBS presented the live simulcast of the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards®. This year’s star-studded simulcast ranked as basic cable’s #1 show on Sunday and posted solid 6% growth over last year in total audience. The two-hour ceremony also scored strong gains among key adult demos compared to last year.
