LOS ANGELES (November 15, 2011) - Regina King, star of TNT’s critically acclaimed drama series “Southland,” will serve as social media ambassador for the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® airing live on TNT and TBS Sunday, Jan. 29. Through posts on Twitter and Facebook, King will serve as the online face for the awards, giving viewers unprecedented access to behind-the-scenes moments during the weeks building up to the show, as well as from the red carpet.
Los Angeles (Nov. 14, 2011) — Screen Actors Guild today joined hundreds of concerned businesses, brand owners, associations and not-for-profit organizations in expressing deep concern over the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers’ (ICANN) proposed expansion of its generic Top-Level Domains (gTLD) program.
Los Angeles (November 10, 2011) – Leading First Amendment expert Floyd Abrams sent a letter this week to House Judiciary Chairman Lamar Smith and Ranking Member John Conyers reaffirming that the Stop Online Piracy Act currently under consideration in the House of Representatives in no way imperils the First Amendment.
In the letter, Abrams writes:

The Guild was one of 25 nominees chosen by Office Depot for the Leadership in Greener Purchasing Award from among the thousands of customers it considered. Nominees were chosen based on a history of purchasing “greener” office supplies. An awards ceremony will be held on November 15 in Oakland, Calif.
