SAG and AFTRA Send Merger Ballots to Members
LOS ANGELES (February 28, 2012) - The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and Screen Actors Guild on Monday sent out ballots to approximately 131,000 members of both organizations.
The mailer included full details of the proposed SAG-AFTRA merger, including the Merger Agreement and Constitution, which were overwhelmingly approved by both unions’ national boards in January, as well as a Pension & Health/Health & Retirement Feasibility Report.

In observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Screen Actors Guild offices will be closed on Monday, January 16. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, January 17.

The 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards voting information postcard was mailed out to eligible members on, December 30, 2011. In order to be eligible to vote, your November 2011 dues must have been paid – and any address changes made – by December 16, 2011.
