We are pleased to announce that last night we reached a tentative agreement in our TV/Theatrical Contract negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP).

Joint AMPTP & SAG-AFTRA Statement

The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) and Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) have jointly agreed to extend for a second day the current TV/Theatrical contracts, which are set to expire at midnight tonight. The extensions  will expire at midnight on July 2, 2014.

Negotiations will continue under the previously announced media blackout.

SAG-AFTRA Announces Tentative Agreement at KOIT-FM in San Francisco

LOS ANGELES (May 30, 2014) --- SAG-AFTRA is pleased to announce that it has reached a tentative agreement with Entercom Communications Corporation for members at top-performing San Francisco radio station 96.5 KOIT. The agreement, which is subject to ratification, was reached after the union launched a Save Local Radio social media campaign (www.savelocalradio.org/koit) to support its members in their effort for an acceptable contract.
 

AMPTP and SAG-AFTRA Announce Start of TV/Theatrical Negotiations

LOS ANGELES (May 2, 2014)  -- In a joint statement issued today, SAG-AFTRA and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) announced they will commence negotiations on successor agreements to the SAG-AFTRA TV/Theatrical contracts on Monday, May 5, 2014. The talks will take place at the AMPTP headquarters in Sherman Oaks, Calif.
 

Ad-ID Becomes Industry Standard for Union-Signed Commercials

LOS ANGELES (April 1, 2014) — As part of the Commercials Contracts negotiated last year between SAG-AFTRA and advertisers, all ads made under a union contract must now incorporate Ad-ID.

Ad-ID is technology that allows ads to be tracked across all media. The Web-based system generates unique identifying codes and stores standardized descriptive data that allows ads to be tracked and measured across all media. Under the agreement, the deadline for mandatory adoption of Ad-ID into union-signed commercials was March 31.

Television Animation and Basic Cable Animation Caucus to be Held in New York March 11

All SAG-AFTRA members who work the Television Animation and Basic Cable Agreements are invited to attend this caucus. The purpose of this caucus is to hear the issues and concerns from the membership regarding the upcoming Television Animation Agreement and Basic Cable Animation Agreement negotiations. These agreements expire on June 30, 2014. The caucus is open to all paid-up members and participation will be limited only by fire rules.
