The nonprofit Screen Actors Guild Foundation is looking for local area performers to help re-establish the BookPALS program. BookPALS (Performing Artists for Literacy in Schools) is a unique national literacy program of performers who help children learn to LOVE books by bringing their talents into classrooms, hospitals, libraries, shelters, and other venues. A BookPALS performer typically commits to share the magic of reading on a weekly basis, but there is some flexibility with scheduling.
