 SAG-AFTRA is pleased to announce a presentation on The Landscape of Scripted Dramatic Entertainment on Thursday, Aug. 25.

This presentation is intended to help the membership understand the current state of the industry under which SAG-AFTRA will be negotiating the Producer–SAG-AFTRA Codified Basic Agreement and the SAG-AFTRA Television Agreement, which expire on June 30, 2017.

The below letter was sent by San Francisco-Northern California Local President Kathryn Howell to the San Francisco Chronicle on Aug. 12, 2016 in response to a statement from Cumulus Media regarding negotiations at KNBR.

It recently came to my attention that Cumulus Media had made a public statement about SAG-AFTRA’s bargaining position in our ongoing talks over fair wages and benefits for our members who are working hard producing the local sports programming at KNBR in San Francisco.

The SAG-AFTRA San Francisco-Northern California Local presents a staged reading of selected scenes and songs from the new musical, Gold Mountain, by critically acclaimed SAG-AFTRA actor, composer and playwright Jason Ma. Gold Mountain is directed by nationally renowned director (and SAG-AFTRA member) Alan Muraoka. Proceeds from the reading will benefit The SAG-AFTRA Foundation. The reading features local SAG-AFTRA actors Michael Ching, Brian Rivera and Colin Thomson.
