If I had a dollar for every indie film made in southern California I could afford to make a big budget film. Seriously, there have been thousands of shorts, low budgets, and experimental films shot all over our landscape, because there are more creative, got to get my vision out there, people in our neighborhood than craters in the moon. In February, SAG San Diego Conservatory is offering all those already making their visions (and those who want to begin making their visions) come true, a rare opportunity to talk with someone who has the answers.

Start: 12/11/2010 - 2:30am
End: 12/11/2010 - 6:00am

While the San Diego actor is always working hard, constantly honing their skills, and looking for that break that will propel their career to the next level, they have to make a living. For many in the San Diego Branch, that means taking advantage of background work which can be very lucrative. At this conservatory, San Diego welcomes the consummate expert on SAG background work, Terri Becherer.  The presentation is an updated version of what Terri teaches in LA and around the country and will provide the San Diego performer with the tips needed to maximize your casting opportunities.

In this class participants learn about today’s voiceover business and what it takes to break into this niche and succeed. Ms. Terwilliger will provide a comprehensive list of the tools you will need and discuss the importance of self-evaluation. Copy will be provided so just come prepared to listen, learn and do.
