Special Guest Terri Becherer, National Director of Background Actors for SAG-AFTRA will be on hand to answer your questions. We want to make sure this is a productive meeting that brings us all together and moves us forward as a union.

The Spiritual Psychology of Acting explores and examines the heart and soul of acting and behavior where you can increase awareness, attention, imagination, self-discipline and talent with free body and mind.

Rock music is dominating the Broadway stage and screen. Cyndi Lauper is writing a musical, so are Sting, Regina Spektor, Barenaked Ladies, Melissa Etheridge, and Sheryl Crow, not to mention the jukebox musicals with Pink’s music and the music of Tupac Shakur. These musicals, and programs like The Voice, American Idol, Glee and The Glee Project all want you to sing a hit from the radio for their auditions, but all you know how to sing are show tunes. Now what? Join master teacher Sheri Sanders for an afternoon dedicated to the pop/rock audition.

The Boston SAG-AFTRA Local invites you to a nationally live-streamed panel discussion being webcast from the SAG Foundation’s Actors Center in Los Angeles.

The goal of this dynamic panel is to educate, inform and inspire women from across the entire spectrum of the entertainment industry to not only take control of their own health, but spread the word on the importance of women’s health at every stage of life. Panelists include:

SAG-AFTRA Wages & Working Conditions Member Caucus has been scheduled in preparation for negotiation of the commercial contracts that expire on March 31, 2013. All members who work under commercial contracts are invited to attend and participate. Input from the caucuses directly affects the proposals formed by the Wages & Working conditions committees.
