Ken Chandler will share experiences from his long and diverse career as a daytime television actor, voiceover artist and composer/jingle writer on what he uses as an actor to prep for performances. For those who come with a prepared script, Ken will give his input on how to improve the scene.  He also will have a few monologues for those who wish to do cold readings.

In light of the passage of Nevada’s Senate Bill 165 (the film & television production incentive), the film and television division of the Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Association is hosting a panel discussion with industry professionals to talk about how these new incentives will impact actors living and working in Nevada.

Reno members, this will be an informal meeting and provides the perfect opportunity for you to get to know your Nevada Local President Barbara Grant, find out what’s going on in the Nevada Local, express your interests and concerns and learn how you can get more involved in the union.

She will be joined by Nevada Local Board member Bobbie Wolff.

Using John Milton Branton’s tried and true 10 Steps to Better Auditions actors will learn how to prepare their auditions in 10 easy steps that provide proven tools to deliver simple, honest and unique auditions that will get you noticed and remembered and called back – time after time.  Mr. Branton has seen, literally, thousands of auditions and will share with actors secrets and tricks of the trade.

For the third year the Nevada Local is proud to support the Annual Las Vegas Halloween parade. We’ll be walking with the union banner held high. All costumed characters are welcome to join for free!

Our previous participants have had a jolly good time in this fun and exciting event. We’ve had a lot of press and exposure for our local. Everyone in costume is welcome to be in the parade so invite all your family and friends to come along and participate.
