Dear Member,

As you may have heard, we lost one of the greats over the weekend, country music legend Jean Shepard. Jean has been a member of the union since 1967 and was a member of the Grand Ole Opry for more than 60 years. She appeared on the show into her 80s and was the longest-running member of the Opry at the time of her death. Jean was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2011.

Nashville Entertainers Unite For A Cure!

It has taken our family, friends and some of entertainment’s brightest stars. So let’s come together and help end Alzheimer’s in our lifetime. Join with your fellow SAG-AFTRA members, colleagues, friends and family as part of the Actors and Artists (AA) Unite Team on Oct. 15 at the Nashville Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Let’s send a message that the Nashville community of professional entertainers is united in the fight against Alzheimer’s as we walk for a cure and for a future we can all remember.

Member Orientation Meeting, Aug. 24

Join us for our first Member Orientation meeting. We’ll explore the history of SAG-AFTRA, explain how our union works at the local and national level and show you what benefits and resources are available as part of your membership. Whether you’re new to town or a longtime member, this is a wonderful chance to learn more about your union and get your questions answered.
