The SAG-AFTRA Miami Local’s offices are moving to a new office in Doral, Florida; one that will be more conveniently located for our members and better suited to the work we do on your behalf.

This Thursday, July 23, we will be closing our current location on Kendall Drive in Miami at 5 p.m., and reopening at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 30, in the brand new Doral office. Save the date and join us for an open house on Sept. 9!

The Boca Black Film Festival is offering special discounts on their passes to all SAG-AFTRA Miami Local members in good standing. 

The Boca Black Film Festival will feature seasoned professionals in their respective fields who will share their knowledge about documentary filmmaking, product placement and the filmmaker’s toolbox. Other workshop sessions will highlight acting, directing, storytelling, financing, casting and shooting in addition to film discussions, film dialogues and film screenings.

The State Legislature is reconvening for a Special Session beginning June 1, 2015. It’s extremely important that Florida's tax credit program for the film, TV and digital media industry be included on the agenda for the Special Session.

The True Origin of Good Act, a consumer protection bill that focuses on rogue websites whose owners/operators hide their identities and sell music and/or movies from the site, has passed both the state Senate and House, and is headed to the Governor’s office for signature.
