In July, the Screen Actors Guild National Board voted unanimously to support and encourage its members to join members of AFTRA and Actors’ Equity in a tri-union show of strength to combat this terrible disease in walks happening across the country this fall.

As part of an ongoing effort to expand job opportunities for all SAG members, including performers of color, people with disabilities, women, LGBT performers and seniors, CBS is now accepting submissions for its talent showcase for diverse sketch comedians. The showcase will be held in Los Angeles in January 2012 and once again executive producer and writer Rick Najera (“Mad TV,” “In Living Color”) will direct.

The Screen Actors Guild National Board of Directors on April 30 unanimously recommended member ratification of a successor agreement to the SAG and AFTRA Non-Broadcast/Industrial/Educational Contracts.
On Monday, April 25, the AFTRA National Administrative Committee of the AFTRA National Board of Directors also unanimously recommended member ratification of a successor agreement.
