Film Family Labor Day is back! This Labor Day, professionals in the film and entertainment industry are invited to celebrate the state’s rich and vibrant film industry and showcase its contributions to the creative fabric in Texas and the country

This event brings together actors, crew members, stage and theater craftspeople, film industry suppliers, media providers, as well as independent film professionals and film, media and performing arts students.

Please note that some candidates ran unopposed and were declared elected without the necessity of a membership vote. Following are the results of the election. Those positions that required a balloted election are listed with an asterisk*. Please note that A+ Actors of Texas has surrendered its SAG-AFTRA franchise effective August 1, 2017, under the SAG Codified Agency Regulations Rule 16(g).

The effect of the surrender is as follows:

No member of SAG-AFTRA may hereafter engage, use, or deal through this agency.

All contracts in force between this agency and the members of SAG-AFTRA are ipso facto and without further notice terminated except that the agency may retain and collect any commissions earned under said contracts prior to the surrender of franchise.

On July 15, 2017, your SAG-AFTRA National Board overwhelmingly approved and recommended a YES vote for the TV/Theatrical tentative agreement reached with the AMPTP. Eligible SAG-AFTRA members will receive a postcard in the coming days on how to vote electronically or by paper ballot on the proposed successor agreements covering motion pictures, scripted primetime dramatic television and new media production.
