Please note that Cess Silvera, the producer of the series entitled Top Shottas, scheduled to begin production soon in Miami, is not signatory to any SAG-AFTRA agreement. This producer has not yet executed a minimum basic agreement with SAG-AFTRA in spite of outreach from union staff to company representatives.

Therefore, all SAG-AFTRA members are hereby informed that no member may accept work or appear on any episode in this series. Violating this order may result in disciplinary action in accordance with the SAG-AFTRA Constitution.

Dear Member,

I am thrilled to announce that as of this morning, the trustees from both the SAG-Producers Health Plan and the AFTRA Health Fund have voted to merge the two plans and, once and for all, end the problem of split earnings. This agreement will be a great relief to our members and their families, especially those who have found it increasingly difficult to qualify for healthcare coverage as their earnings were split between the two plans.

On July 30, 2015, Relativity Media and related companies filed a petition for bankruptcy protection in US Bankruptcy Court in New York. SAG-AFTRA and other guilds and unions are actively participating in the bankruptcy case and are in direct contact with Relativity.

We are seeking to secure prompt and full payment of any and all money owed to SAG-AFTRA members, whether the money is for session earnings or residuals.  We will also continue to ensure that all new productions have adequate mechanisms in place to protect our members.
