As part of its ongoing effort to discover and develop culturally and ethnically diverse talent and actors with disabilities, the Disney ABC Television Group's Casting Project will hold auditions for consideration for the ABC Talent Showcase-this opportunity also affords the majority of participants the chance to audition for a variety of ABC (and other networks') pilots and ongoing programming. ABC has a long-standing commitment to promoting diversity in the entertainment industry through a variety of projects administered by its Talent Development & Casting departments.

Los Angeles, (April 19, 2010) - To commemorate the many advancements made in LGBT films this past year, Screen Actors Guild National Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Actors Committee, in association with SAG New Media signatory MIPtalk.com, presented a screening of the 2009 GLAAD Media Award-winning film Shelter on Saturday, April 17, 2010, to an enthusiastic, capacity audience in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles (April 9, 2010) — It was called "an instant classic" when it was released in 2008 and the SAG National LGBT Actors Committee is pleased to be able to present a screening of Shelter for free to SAG members, along with a Q&A reunion of its cast and crew on Saturday, April 17 at SAG Headquarters.

The event will commemorate the many advancements made in LGBT films in recent years and is presented in association with SAG New Media signatory MIPtalk.com.

Pittsburgh (March 17, 2010) — Efforts to cast performers with disabilities in film, television and stage roles was the focus of an article in today's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The piece by Tina Calabro featured the work of the tri-union I AM PWD campaign — the Inclusion in the Arts and Media for People with Disabilities campaign of SAG, AFTRA and Actors’ Equity.
