Dear Screen Actors Guild Member,
This communication is to remind you of your obligations regarding studio screeners sent in support of films and television programs nominated for SAG Awards.
As you know, Screen Actors Guild members who paid dues by the December 17, 2007 deadline received a SAG Awards ballot and became eligible to receive "for your consideration" screeners from the studios. It is vitally important to remember that these screeners are being loaned to you solely for your personal review and the screeners may not be sold, transferred to a third party or used for any other purpose.
The studios reserve the right to cancel the loan of the screener and recall possession at any time. Any duplication, transmission, or public exhibition of the material contained in the screening copy is a violation of law. Members who are found to have violated these restrictions may be subject to civil liability and/or criminal prosecution at the request of the copyright holders. SAG will also review any alleged violation of these restrictions for possible charges of conduct unbecoming a member. It is critical that all Screen Actors Guild members be mindful and vigilant of the obligation to respect and protect the SAG Awards screeners sent to you by the studios.
