LOS ANGELES (July 23, 2014) — SAG-AFTRA is mailing voting informational cards to approximately 137,000 members today as part of the ratification process for the recently negotiated TV/Theatrical contracts. The joint referendum requires a vote on the proposed pacts, the 2014 SAG-AFTRA Television Agreement and the 2014 SAG-AFTRA Codified Basic Agreement, covering motion pictures, scripted primetime dramatic television and new media production.
National Network Code Negotiating Committee Approved
Los Angeles and New York (July 12, 2014) – The Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) National Board of Directors met today in a one-day videoconference plenary and overwhelmingly approved the tentative agreement reached with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers at midnight on July 4. With the board’s approval, the deal now goes to the union’s membership for ratification.
Eligible SAG-AFTRA members will vote on the proposed successor agreements covering motion pictures, scripted primetime dramatic television and new media production. The tentative deal unifies SAG and AFTRA television contracts under a new 2014 SAG-AFTRA Television Agreement. LOS ANGELES (July 4, 2014) – Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) and Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) today reached tentative agreement for motion picture production. Negotiations, which began on May 5, resulted in a new 2014 Producers-SAG-AFTRA Codified Basic Agreement and an industry-wide 2014 SAG-AFTRA Television Agreement as successor agreements to the Producers-Screen Actors Guild Codified Basic Agreement, Screen Actors Guild Television Agreement, Exhibit A of the AFTRA National Code of Fair Practice for Network Television Broadcasting, The CW Supplement, and the basic cable agreements. The terms of the new agreements will be presented to the SAG-AFTRA National Board of Directors at its July 12 meeting.
